My "Garden" Tea Party

Last week I hosted a supposed to be Garden Tea Party.  But sadly, the weather did not work out and it had to be changed to just a "tea party" (praise the Lord for a large dining room that has held more than one party of 12 girls).  But weather can not hold down the spirits of girly-girls and I think it came off pretty well!

Preparations were many, but with much planning and note taking, never was a day overly busy.  Thank you bunches Mommy & Anna for helping out SO much - I hardly had to do any cleaning of the house!!

The place cards.

The reason I could only invite 12 young ladies is because we only had 12 tea plates!  It's always hard to leave some friends out, hopefully someday all my friends will atleast be invited to one!

~The Menu~

(do you think my cookies look like my inspiration?)

Chicken Salad Sandwitches
Raspberry Scones with
Clotted Cream, Butter, & Preserves
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Russian Tea Cakes
Sugar Cookies

After lunch we enjoyed many games, including:
Draw Teapot
(where you try to draw a teapot, on a paper plate, on top of your head!)
Books, Books, Lots of Books
and others.

The tea party was so much!  I am already thinking about next year! :D
